8/8/11 Nero Release - Promises

In case you missed it, a couple days ago Nero released his Promises single bundle including the following tracks:

If you liked his tracks that were heavy on the female vocals such as Innocence then you will probably be more into this track than if you didn't. It's good.. but it's missing something... OH, the drop. That's what it's missing. Innocence was heavy with the female vocals but had an absolutely disgusting drop that made me love it. This track, without the drop I would have anticipated, isn't really something I can blast in my car. Sure, a girl could get away with it, but I just think it's far too gay for me to be doing it. But here is the official video up for your enjoyment, or not, whatever:

Wait... what?

My first real post will be a wtf moment. If you missed it (which I think I have missed everything Korn has done since about 2004) you might be surprised to learn that Korn is working with a number of dubstep DJs and producers to come out with a full dubstep album. Initially it was going to be an EP but was canceled in favor of a full-length.

I am highly skeptical about what is going to come out of this. Granted the first track released does feature Skrillex, and dub is on the heavy hitting end of the electronic music world... The mix might work but for me, I'm just not into it. Maybe it's because I was over Korn before I graduated high school. But I think it's likely that it's just not all that good. But hey, to each their own.

Check out the first release below courtesy of Roadrunner Records and let me know what you think:

So I have a blog..

The idea of this blog is to keep up to date on epic dubstep releases from singles to compilation albums. Though I can't say there wont be some drum and bass popping in here from time to time. Also to share some of the headlines from the dub world; whether they be great, or just plain stupid.
